Heyday of British Steam - West Midlands/North/North West DVD This DVD covers the West Midlands and the North of England. We begin at Gloucester where the diminutive former G.W.R 0-4-2 tank engines were still working push and pull trains. From Gloucester we head to the Western suburbs of Birmingham via the famous Lickey Incline where heavyweight expresses could be seen struggling with the 1 in 37 gradient. A look at Wolverhampton s Low Level Station before it closed is followed by a journey to Manchester via Stoke On Trent, Crewe and Stockport. After Manchester we cross the Pennines and end our Journey at Sheffield s Victoria Station where Director , 04 and K class moguls were still hard at work.
