
Hornby TT:120 MHA Coalfish ballast wagon EWS 396082
The MHA 'Coalfish' wagons were rebuilds of HAA hoppers using the original chassis with the addition of a new body to suit transport of engineers spoil.
The rebuilds were carried out between 1997-2007 under TOPS code MHA with examples built at RFS Conaster, Wabtec Doncaster, EWS Margam and Marcroft Engineering in Stoke-on-Trent.
This MHA is one of the later Doncaster-built EWS 'Coalfish' ballast wagon conversions completed between 2003-2004. It is finished in EWS maroon with a yellow top edge and carried number 396082. Ideal to partner with EWS Class 37 and Class 66 models in TT:120 scale to recreate early 2000s engineering trains
